About Me
Unwavering Faith
Our spirit can never be broken as our will is strong
Because nothing can stand in its way
For to a higher purpose do we all belong
And this is only the testing ground where we stay.
We will, one day, prove that our promise will realize
All the challenges we faced will overcome
As long as we know that Heaven is the prize
To no evil here will ever simply succumb.
It may seem these words are only written in vain
That the darkness around us too heavy fall
But the goodness that lives will always win again
For to a higher purpose always hear its call.
And humanity’s experiment will not, here, fail
For we were not created for this to be our fate
For our faith unwavering when Heaven gain
And all that’s evil left behind in goodness's trail.

Be the first person to like this.

Sonnet 353 (Love as Sweet)
The sun so softly shines where love does grow
The night cannot obscure such rays so bright
But where you are the fairest light I know
Where all on earth must bend before your light.
The Robin sings so sweetly in the day
The silence, now, is smitten by her sound
And where you’re heard a melody does play
So, in my heart, my harmony is found.
The ocean’s waves upon the shore do land
Their ebbs and flows do bring serenity
The way I’m calm by holding your soft hand
As far you go you still come back to me.
This earth can only live with love as sweet
So, in your arms, I’ll find my life complete.
No Time (In memory of St Curtis Lance)
And Time has dealt its cold hand once more
As it will with all on this earth that are living
But, then, Heaven must open its door
To the spirit you are bringing.
But a place brightened by your light
That makes it stand out among the stars
For now they must acknowledge your sight
That no darkness mars.
And you will live forever there
Where angels your poetry will recite
In the melody that even for them rare
And show Heaven Earth's best light.
And so, my brother, I must leave you here
Between Heaven and this rhyme
And in them you will always appear
In your cadence that knows no time.

Sonnet 351 (Only Come from You)
What sound I hear that whispers in the air?
An angel's voice that found an earthly ear
So sweet I need not climb to Heaven's stair
For with such chords is Heaven singing here.
Yet, 'round I look and nothing do I see
A spirit, then, must be the reason why
I cannot touch but yet envelops me
My cares erase and draws from me a sigh.
The trees before such melody do dance
The river's flow reflects its rhythmic sound
That nature bends and shakes to such romance
Now, on this earth, my blissful essence found.
And now I realize these notes are true
For what I hear can only come from you.

Death's Second Self
This mythical fascination with immortality
I believe each moment here is precious
Though I know Death will stop for me
Then the life I live here most relish.
When that time comes and I must leave
I wish my time here remembered well
Though those left behind for me may grieve
The example I left, I wish, lives on to tell.
No need to hope this earth no limits give
The time it allows is enough for me
I am grateful for those moments it lets me live
Though there may be another place I’ve yet to see.
So, let this dream of eternal life live in lore
That seems to so many so enticing
Here I have yet so much more to explore
That otherwise seems like Death if never dying.
A Look
I see the way you look at me
And you see the way I look at you
Our heart's invitation all can see
Only a few words to see it through.
Our feelings nothing can deny
Now the next step they must take
That our longing will satisfy
And from our feelings our union make.
And learn love’s appearance unknown
It does not care if you believe it shows
It is governed by what our spirit sown
And only by what our heart knows.
Seeing you again may be the time
When our feelings to our meeting turn
And what is written in this rhyme
Bringing us, finally, to what we yearn.
Only a Taste
There was an angel that Heaven sent to me
And through her spirit I learned to love
A feeling that from this earth made me free
I should have known it came from above.
For soon from this place, she had to go
And I was left to deal with what she left behind
Without her love only sorrow left to know
And nowhere else such love could find.
And now I am left with only this question
Should I go on without a woman so divine?
Then have to continue having learned this lesson
I have to make the most of what no longer mine.
And learn to live without love as my cost
And then my remaining days a waste
To live a life where love I have lost
Never meant for Heaven, only a taste.

Christmas Forever
the world was dark before, no end in sight
Until that morn a babe was born here
That from our darkness showed the light
That showed us hope and no more fear.
And now the darkness comes once more
So why do we want to celebrate?
For all that's bad goodness does abhor
This day we show that it can wait.
It may well be our fate uncertain
For the babe turned man put it in our hands
Will we rise to the occasion or pull the curtain?
Maybe He the only one who understands.
All I know is Christmas is still a special day
Where all we face must, to it, bow
If nothing on this day can stand in its way
Why can't its spirit this world forever allow?
