The Commodore Amiga came after the 64 and had a good run in the 90's until the company went bankrupt. It was way ahead of Microsoft in audio/visual technology for its time. A lot of trackers still use Octamed and Amigas(if you can find them), primarily to create Jungle and EDM. Sadly, the C64 would only allow 3 channels of audio at any given time in 8 bit quality audio vs the 8 channels Octamed would do at 16-bit quality. I wrote my first songs on a C64....just don't expect them to show up here. :)
