Last Verse

This is my last verse I will write
No use writing anything more
Even though you make my world right
Life has closed every other door.

Is love enough, then, this fact overcome?
For beyond it its challenges still face
Perhaps these to your arms succumb
And will be forgotten in your embrace.

But, is there anything left when so much lost?
Seeing you, only reminds how it could have been
To express what I feel not show the cost
That behind lines of love painfully seen.

So, I will end this with my last rhyme
To one who showed me what it is to love
And if this expires, here, perhaps resurrected by time
How much I love you these words then prove.
