No Time for Vanity

So to time is cruel with its hand
Because no time for our vanities
At least long enough here to stand
To show our vainglorious trivialities.

But, thought the stage of perfection
Where the world would bend to our will
Then an invisible force introduces oblivion
While this world stubbornly refuses to stand still.

Never a part of what was our infallible plan
That all would bend to our quest for control
That civilization only before our power stand
Suddenly, an actor enters we didn't know.

That is we are only mortal and this place lease
Knowing this maybe our priorities moved
Sowing discord giving way to the path of peace
And after time’s trail, our legacy love proved.
