Mere Words

Words, conveyors of what is our mind and heart
Is there anything lost in the translation?
What words could I use to explain when we are apart
Or is it enough that I am seen past salvation?

What could I write here to show how I feel
That some reader see in some future age?
Not unless Time could before these moments kneel
And my love for you becomes its center stage.

While on a page the most moving verses written
That to a man’s heart render so very close and true
How can any capture the moment I was smitten
That only lives while in the sight of you?

So, I can only leave these empty lines behind
Despite to the loftiest height of my love will go
For without you only a blank page here will find
That is only filled by the love mere words can’t show.
