My emotional investment in you is all I can give
In no other can my feelings share
If you go in an empty place must live
To only one woman my soul bare.

I know this you may, to me, refute
Isn’t love something our lives surprise?
But my heart this argument will dispute
For ever broken should you close your eyes.

This is the wrong time of year for this to face
But is there ever a good time for love to leave?
Still, Spring is the season where new life embrace
Instead, where the Rose blooms I now will grieve.

I do not know what I will face when I, too, go
But it is clear what this world will look to me
A preview of Death here all I will know
But reborn if, in the next realm, your smile see.
