A Few Hours

What wind blowing is that disturbing the air?
Without it the day would be kind
Soon I see the darkness everywhere
Now from its warmth refuge need to find.

And how did this darkness encroach upon the day
Isn’t there enough time for it at night?
For when night comes the light holds it at bay
So that what once clear no longer in sight.

Now I must see if the day returns tomorrow
And the threatening wind doesn’t blow
So the darkness day's rules will follow
And, at least, a few hours of happiness know.
